Wonder

A name that holds three worlds. Amaze — wonder, what takes your breath away. A-MAZE — a maze, the path that loses itself in curves and finds itself at the centre. MAZE — the real maze, the one of grapes becoming wine, step by step, in the dark of the cellar, in the silence of waiting. This is how our AMAZE wines are born: from Tenuta Asinara, in Marina di Sorso, where the Sardinian sea meets the land and the salty wind shapes the vineyards. A place where every bottle tells more than a grape — it tells a journey.

It is September, the first days. The Vermentino clusters weigh in the hand, still full of sun and salt. We harvest by hand, seventy quintals per hectare, no more: we want every berry to carry the wind of the coast, the breath of the Mediterranean that caresses the vines of Tenuta Asinara. Here, in Marina di Sorso, sea and land merge — and the wine that is born is white, light, yet intense.

The maze

After the harvest the real path begins. The grapes go into the cold room, then into the soft press — no oxygen, no rush. Every step is calculated so as to lose nothing: not the scent of rose and almond, not the saline notes that the land has put into the skin. The must becomes wine in steel, in silence. We seal with Nomacorc, a closure that speaks of innovation but also of respect: what we have preserved must not fade.

The landing

In the glass it is pale yellow, bright as light on the waves. On the nose it is intense, fruity, with something floral and almond-like. On the palate it is balanced, fresh, with a saline vein that tells of the sea. It is the moment when the maze opens: a sip that amazes — amaze. We drink it as an aperitif, with friends, when the sun sets and we are in no hurry. Serve at 6–10°C: cold but not icy, because wonder needs space to reveal itself.
